Ah, Sunday evening, my old nemesis. We meet again. And yet it is I who has the upper hand. For this weekend has been wonderful, and yet also truly educational. Here are some of the things I've learnt...
I am developing a worrying fondness for G&T. Especially with salt and vinegar Squares. Classy.
I laugh at bits of the Simpsons that noone else does. Unashamedly loudly.
It's impossible for me to run around the park in the sunshine without Blur's 'Parklife' playing in my head.
Michael Bay can turn Transformers, my all time childhood favourite, into a slapstick comedy. Sort of. In a good way!
Anything on the menu marked with two chilis at Masala Zone means your face will be on fire within 7 seconds.
I'm getting itchy feet...
I have the bestest friends in the whole wide world.
And, of course, we have to have the soundtrack don't we? Available in all good record stores on CD, vinyl, cassette, 8 track and wax cylinder.
1. Green Day - 'The Simpsons Theme'
2. Astrid - 'Tick Tock'
3. Godspeed You Black Emperor - f#a#oo LP
4. Kate Nash - 'Foundations'
5. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Is Is EP
6. Aphex Twin – 'Jynweythek Yiow'
7. Subliminal Girls - 'Burn Koko'
8. Dashboard Confessional - 'Saint and Sailors'
9. Slint - 'Good Morning, Captain'
10. Smashing Pumpkins - 'Doomsday Clock'
11. Dustin O'Halloran - 'Opus 36'
12. Rilo Kiley - 'The Frug'
Seeing Rilo Kiley in August and I cannot wait. I've already started working on my "Jenny Marry Me" banner. Has anyone got a prit stick I can borrow? And pasta shapes? And glitter?
Y'all have a good week now, won't you?
