Mothra Versus We Are Scientists
Say that you'll stay...
This has been on repeat all week. Again. Again. Again. Oh, it's just wonderful...
I bought We Are Scientists' first album, With Love And Squalor, on gorgeous vinyl from the States, along with various other trinkets. But then disaster! They accidentally sent me the CD copy instead. The kitties on the front were so tiny! So I rang them up, and in my most winsome British accent, asked politely if they would do a swap, as it was the vinyl copy I wanted really. And they simply wouldn't hear of me sending the CD back, and just sent me the vinyl copy. For free! What lovely folks.
Go check out http://www.wearescientists.com/ to find out why they're probably the wittiest, most erudite band in the world at the moment. (Yes, even moreso than U2.) And then listen to the music to discover why they are so so much more than that. (We Are Scientists' music, that is. Not U2. I mean, you can listen to U2 if you want, but I won't be held responsible for any repercussions.)
Can't wait for the upcoming tour now. And the new album. And the gags in the liner notes...
Yes, the future looks bright for W.A.S., unless you consider that NOT ONE AMONG THEM CAN READ!
